Propaganda is a multi-disciplinary creative company with ambitions across design, publishing, and retail. Founded by Mohamed Rizwan, Propaganda aims to work with progressive individuals and companies to shape India’s business and cultural landscape.

Prior to founding Propaganda, Rizwan was Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy Delhi, and responsible for creating some of the agency’s most noted work. From helping brands like Heineken launch in India to revitalizing existing ones like Nike, Old Spice and The Oberoi, Rizwan’s unique combination of strategic thinking, eye for design and editorially-minded tone of voice has resulted in breakthrough work that has been written about in the pages of Time, Wall Street Journal, and Fast Company, among others. Apart from advertising, he has also worked on editorial projects that span design, travel and pop culture for magazines such as Design Indaba, Typo and Motherland, while collaborating with artists, product designers, and musicians to create a breadth of work that goes beyond conventional marketing and advertising.

THE POSTCARD HOTEL

In 2018, Propaganda helped launch The Postcard Hotel, a collection of intimate holiday hotels across India and the South Asian Continent. From the name to logo, to the brand positioning, Propaganda is deeply involved in developing and expanding the hotel’s experience and story in new, unexpected ways.

NOON

Middle East e-commerce hotshots Noon wanted a series of YouTube films to promote their biggest sale of the year - The Yellow Friday Sale. Our response was to create a series of short films based on completely unverifiable claims. True story.

THE POSTCARD HOTEL x NICOBAR

Part of our vision for The Postcard Hotel was to build a travel brand that went beyond the hotels. In December 2019, we launched The Escape Artist Collection with Nicobar, a capsule collection featuring everything you need to go on holiday - from tees and totes, to umbrellas and throws.

BLUE TOKAI EASY POUR

Blue Tokai’s Easy Pour offers its great tasting coffee in an easy-to-use sachet. Which, we thought, made it perfect for work. So we asked photographer Tenzing Dakpa to shadow six, perfectly normal non-influencers working across industries for a series we called At Work With Easy Pour. The portraits were accompanied by interviews that revealed a variety of coffee habits but one common problem - bad work coffee. Thank god for Easy Pour.

EMAAR

Dubai is in lockdown, and The Dubai Mall is empty. So how do we keep the mall top of mind? The Secret Life of The Dubai Mall. We created a series of AR-inspired videos which showed the incredible things taking place in the mall while no one's looking. A secret garden, penguins making their way to the mall, and a Blue Whale leaping out of a fountain, to name a few. It's now a continuing series.

SUNDAY

Sunday is a design company that works with designers in Italy to produce objects and furniture, here in India. It’s a model that puts world class design within the reach of a new audience. Propaganda helped develop and launch the brand, giving Sunday its shape, purpose, and yes, name.
